This flat bowl depicts a specially styled bird in olive green, red and brown with three-pointed crown-shaped feathers on its head. The outer frame is decorated with a band of black and white triangles. The bird probably depicts the constellation Cygnus (the Swan), which is widely used in other types of Islamic art.
