Notes
The overall panel is made of three partial panels of hinged wood sides with lobed legs that interlock when folded to form a rectangular box. The main decoration on the main surface consists of medallions of different shapes surrounding a couple (man and woman) in European dress, a husband wearing Iranian dresses, and a woman breastfeeding a child. The group was formed around a bouquet of flowers within rich borders. The main decoration is attributed to a court painter, Muhammad Hassan, who worked mainly in oil works. He is known to have painted a miniature of Fath Ali Shah while he was sitting on the throne in the year 1234 AH (1818-19 AD).
