Notes
A rectangular wooden box with a pyramid-shaped, headless lid. On its surface is a handle with three ears. The sides and surface of this box are fixed with gilded bronze arrows to connect its parts well. On each of the four side faces of the box, a gilded bronze lock was placed to close it tightly. In each corner of the box there is a small star. The inner surface of this box was covered with fabric that appears to have been red in color. This box is considered a model of the boxes known at the time, and there is a box in York Cathedral similar to it in terms of decoration, except that it is oval in shape. In the city of Palermo, there are two pyramid-shaped boxes, cut into the Palatina Dome group. There is a box in the Wolters Museum of Art in Baltimore that is not only similar to this box in terms of shape, but also in terms of its metal elements and decoration.
