Notes
The bowl has an inner layer with a matte turquoise blue ground and a multi-coloured decoration of two knights on horseback mounted against the side of a tree. There is also a person sitting above each knight, as well as three birds in the tree and three other birds below the two knights. The blue border near the rim of the crater forms the basis of a repeated pattern in calligraphy, with small blue curls along the edge. The outer surface is turquoise blue with a black leaf pattern. Blue glass covers part of the base. The bowl was broken and repaired, and the glaze was missing from the triangular area adjacent to the bird at the bottom right of the knight. The restored area includes part of the person sitting on the left.
