Notes
The piece is a shallow (shallow) earthenware dish patterned with a dark brown earthenware lining over a white lined ground and clear glass. The inscription in Arabic in Kufic script is the basic decoration, its elongated horizontal lines and double letters forming a border along the circumference of the dish, while the sharply pointed vertical lines extend towards the central landing to form a forked design. The translation of the inscription says: Planning before work protects you from regret! There are many scratches and cracks that have been repaired. In several spots along the edge, the white lining has been broken and removed, exposing the yellow-orange-pink pottery.
