Notes The Ihram belt was worn by the male pilgrim and used to place valuable items during the performance of Hajj rituals. Ihram clothing for men consists of two pieces of white, unstitched fabric. The upper piece of clothing was called the robe and was placed around the body from above, while the other piece was the izar and was placed and wrapped around the lower part of the body. This belt is worn around the waist above the izar and the written inscription on the belt wishes good health to the wearer. Also related to the ritual of clothing is also giving the state of mind that a Muslim must enter in order to feel the feelings of Hajj. During this period, pilgrims must perform certain rituals. For example, men and women are prohibited from killing. Animals, cutting trees, or cutting their nails or hair.
