Like its Egyptian Fatimid models, Syrian Talmens pottery was experimental (its manufacture was based on experimentation). It consisted of pottery vessels glazed with tin, ceramic vessels with opaque white glass, and ceramic vessels under transparent glass, which made the vessel a pale pink color and yet shined. The shape placed in front of the Mediterranean area and the wonderful palmettes also indicate the direction of the Fatimid lusterware.
