Notes This piece is a wonderful example of early Iznik ceramics. It is a large, deep dish painted with patterns of vines or plane leaves and Chinese clouds (kai). The dish dates back to the first half of the sixteenth century AD, and the refined coating is used in two shades of dark and light cobalt blue, as well as the image of kai clouds, which indicates the influence of Chinese Ming porcelain on the early Iznik vessels. At the same time, the free formation of the decoration without a distinct division on the central field and borders shows the artistic tradition. Inherent Turkish.
