Notes The thirteen illustrations in this magnificent edition of The Five (Five Poems) by Amir Khusrau Dehlawi are often attributed to the greatest of Persian artists, Behzad. But although they are very committed to the Behzadi style, they are all unsigned. The manuscript is also extensively gilded, bound in a charming gold-plated binding, pressed molded, and perforated. The text was copied by Muhammad, Ibn Azhar, one of the great calligraphers of the Timurid court.
