Notes This flask with a flat bottom and funnel neck can be used for daily needs. There are many examples of this type of vessel, although the body appears unusual. One other example from Nishapur appears similar and serves as a basis for recreating this piece. The bottle from the Bumiller collection bears two inscriptions, the first just above the base and the other below the frame. The one at the bottom of the frame is upside down, indicating that it is not the original piece, but perhaps the foot of another vessel. This inscription cannot be read, but the one at the bottom gives good wishes and praises the owner's piety.
