Notes The piece is a prayer rug, where the prayer area is in creamy white color decorated with a triple arch on double columns in yellow, red, blue and green and between each pair of columns there is a row of diamonds in yellow and red and the corner of the knots is decorated with a cover of geometric coils in white which retains in the floor images of a double arrow in yellow and red and across the top of the area there is a panel with stems of lilies (iris) alternating with other plants (possibly tulips) in yellow, red and light and dark blue and green on the ground. Creamy yellow. The arcs, or what is known as fandex, along the bottom of the painting are blue and yellow and surround the arabesques in white, red, blue and green. In the borders there is a row of rooms in blue, yellow or green with flowering patterns in yellow, red, blue and green, and the outer bands contain a repeating pattern of flowers and leaves in white and red on a yellow ground (the inner band) or yellow (or green) and red on a white ground (the outer band).
