Notes
This bowl has a high button stud and convex-edged sides. Vessels of this shape resemble ancient wine vessels, which were used in the Islamic world in the bath or as magic vessels. The magical healing properties of this special bowl are revealed by the meaningless symbols on the frame. The frieze is decorated with Quranic verses under the frame and the sides of the inlay button, while on its flat surface the name of God is engraved within a six-pointed star.
