Notes
A vase with two handles, a disc-shaped base, a long neck, and its decoration is colored and polished in dark red, on an ivory-white enamel ground. It is decorated with floral designs with a metallic lustre, as is common for pieces produced after the Hispano-Arab period. At the bottom of the vase’s body we find a drawing in the form of two birds known as “pardalotes” in the city of Valencia. They were drawn in a simplified manner using a set of lines, as a distinctive expression of the style, taste, and level of making of this piece. This is also indicated by the shape of the vase, as several broad lines with a metallic luster define the different sections of the vase.
