Notes
A circular suspension ring with a hole that holds three balls connected together and ends with cylindrical plugs. These balls contain radial decoration and take the form of openwork domes. On the other side of the ring, there is a coiled piece, the function of which we still do not know. Although these spherical shapes were hammered into some Islamic jewelry found in the East and Morocco, we did not find earrings similar to those found in Raqqada in the various museum collections that were reviewed. In fact, jewelry dating back to the first centuries of Islam is rare, and only a small number of it remains. Only a few of the graves were uncovered, and Islamic religious institutions do not possess treasures, like Christian churches. In addition, the absence of documents does not allow for revealing links, following up on development, and linking new discoveries to a coherent group with an established history. The information becomes clearer starting from the 5th century AH / 11th century AD.
