Notes
Traditionally, social life in the Islamic world revolved around tea or coffee houses, where men gathered to drink tea and coffee and smoke tobacco cooked in hookahs (narghile or qalyan). There they play board games, listen to music, recite poetry, or discuss current events. This scene of a Turkish coffee house was originally part of a photo album.
