Notes A rare incense burner made of pottery. It is mounted on a wheel and perforated with leaf-shaped spaces to aid air circulation and better diffusion of the incense fragrance. The main body is divided into two halves by a horizontal screen in the form of a perforated strainer inside which incense is placed. The incense burner has a high lid, which is also perforated, like the bottom, to allow increased air movement inside the vessel. There are four handles surrounding the main body, which indicates that the incense burner was placed in a high place, such that it was hung from the ceiling or in another high place.
