The lower part of the cylindrical column leg is carved with two discs resembling the base of the column, followed by a smooth surface engraved with four rows of superimposed arches topped by recessed carved lobes. The upper part of the stem is narrow and decorated with two horizontal grooves. The tank takes the shape of a semi-circle, with deep ribs drilled into it, its center pierced with a circular hole to feed it with water, and carved on the outside with prominent hinges. This small source, designed in the style of the large water basins that occupied the heart of the courtyards of mosques and schools, was located in the ablution hall in the Bu Ananiya madrasa.
