Notes
The object is a large oval enamelled box (a) with a flat bottom and a detachable domed lid (b). Along the sides and across the top of the lid are vertical bands of green enamel or gold pieces. On the gold bands there are rubies in the shape of triangular leaves and a band of red stems underneath. On the lid is a central oval floral diamond plaque surrounded by a ground of emeralds and rubies and a band of rubies. Inside there is a Persian inscription in black.
