Notes The text of the collection of hadiths, written by Abu al-Hasan ibn al-Hajjaj, called Muslim, was written in black and red ink in Moroccan cursive script. It was sounded with idiom points and pronunciation marks. The main title and editorial pages are decorated with stylized decorations. A frame divides the area of the opening page into three parts, representing two rectangular strips delimiting a square with a circle inside it. The upper strip contains the last three lines of the text, while the lower strip is decorated with a frieze of concentric, overlapping circles decorated with rosettes and double decorative elements from “Butih” of Okashmir. Inside the circle is the text of the opening page in gold naskh script, which protrudes above the red ground of the circle. The latter is surmounted by a wide band consisting of a decoration consisting of a frieze featuring florets alternating with a lotus flower painted in red and yellow, on a blue background. The corner decorations are decorated with branches and various bouquets of yellow roses inspired by an oriental color on a green background. The lower margin of the frame is occupied by a decoration in the form of a multi-lobed arch, containing the date of copying, which is Thursday of the month of Shawwal in the year 1284 AH / January-February 1868 AD, and on a golden floral decorative element, on a blue background of oriental inspiration. This decorative decoration of the opening page reveals the Eastern artistic influences (Chinese and Iranian) that entered Morocco from the end of the eighteenth century AD.
