Notes Stars of Science is an abbreviation of Islamic and Indian beliefs relating primarily to horoscopes (astrology) and magic. Depending on the way it was composed, the manuscript contains between four hundred and approximately eight hundred illustrations, and the pages included here show the northern constellations. It is Andromeda (depicted as a woman), the horse, the sun in a chariot, signs of Berglio (the lion) with the phases and degrees of the moon, and Jupiter is depicted as an old king in procession and the ruler of the universe on his seven-tiered throne. The only other copy of this text is also known to have been produced in Bijapur about a hundred years ago and is also in the Chester Beatty Library.
