The fortified tower (Al-Manar) forms part of an entire complex known as the palace of the same name (Qasr Al-Manar), which the archaeological excavations to be completed may help in clarifying information about this palace (the citadel) and the sequence of its history related to the entirety of the Beni Hammad Fort, the fortified city that was established on the heights of the Truce at the height of their prosperity. The fortified tower, which was built on the edge of a rocky cliff overlooking Wadi Faraj, takes the form of a signal tower standing on an area It is square, with a side measuring about twenty metres. The facades are hollow throughout their height with solid niches with a semicircular base, and are covered with conch-shaped semi-domes. The facades facing the valley are topped by an advanced building, 1.50 meters deep, while the eastern wall is pierced by two marmians. A gentle slope circling a central core (about ten meters wide) leads over a barrel vault to the roofs. The two overlapping halls have been reshaped, and the cruciform design of the upper hall is represented by niche-shaped cavities with flat backgrounds topped with a border arch on each facade. In the corners, the remains of corner curves reveal the dome that covered this hall.
