Notes A large colored underglaze bowl on a high base decorated on the outside with flowers and leaves in shades of blue and green winding freely across the surface. In the center of the larger flowers there is a decorative pattern in the form of a wavy band, and the base is decorated with similar floral and leaf patterns, but they are more organized, and at the bottom there is a thin band of decorative frames, each of which contains four leaflets. The distinctive size of this bowl, and the skill with which the decoration was executed, indicate that it was produced for the upper classes of the Ottoman court, although there is no evidence to confirm this.
