It was only the Persian artists of the seventeenth century who were able to transcend the overwhelming influence of Reza Abbasi and who were inspired by the greater naturalism that characterizes not only European but Indian painting. Enshikh Abbasi was one of them, and this meticulously detailed and signed painting shows the court of Suleiman in the 17th century in Iran.
