Notes
The main fabric of this religious dress is silk with satin filling and is in a single color. The center and ends of the sleeves are made of Persian silk fabric. The manufacture of precious silk fabrics is a long, well-established tradition in Persia when it suffered in its last days under the blows of the Safavids (1501 - 1746 AD). The high-quality silk fabrics show natural designs that are a reference to contemporary miniature paintings, which were common products of that period.
