Notes Cachan metallic lustre-glazed ceramic bowl in off-white color, veneered in a monochrome glaze with cobalt blue. In the center of the bowl is a large medallion surrounded by inscriptions in Naskh script bearing the date of Shawwal of the year 614 AH. As for the poetic verses, they are attributed to Imam Al-Shafi’i: “Learn, a person is not born a scholar, and he is not a brother of knowledge like one who is ignorant, for the greatest of the people has no knowledge, and he is small if the gatherings turn to him.” As for the inner part, it was written in calligraphy with expressions of blessing to its owner.
