Notes This book was published nearly 1,000 years ago and represents one of the versions of Ibn Sina's "The Canon of Medicine." When he was 57 years old, the Muslim doctor and philosopher surpassed the theories of Hippocrates and Galen in medicine, and opened a new chapter in this field. This encyclopedia on the body and mind revolutionized medicine by introducing the concept of clinical trials, and his medical encyclopedia remains the most famous medical book in history. Ibn Sina’s study of the brain and emotions and their connection paved the way for many future studies, such as the effects of saffron in treating depression and sadness. Thanks to its great contributions to the fields of public health, pharmacology, and psychology, the book continues to fascinate contemporary researchers.
