| Notes | This ceramic bowl is painted with a monochromatic luster and shows a giraffe and her male next to a tree against a background filled with zigzag panels decorated with what is known as a peacock eye design. The design is similar to another bowl with the same scene, with a double mirror image and signed by Muslim Ibn Dahan. Giraffes were considered exotic and beautiful animals and were displayed in festive festivals. |
