Notes	This antique oil lamp has two parts. The lower part is a traditional candlestick and the upper part is a stem with an oil container. The exquisite inscriptions in thuluth script show that the lamp was commissioned by or for a Turkmen commander, Uzun Hasan, who ruled eastern Anatolia, Iraq, and large parts of Iran in about 1470.
