Notes
The painted mural curtain depicts the Day of Judgment from the perspective of Shiites in Isfahan. The main topic is the reward given in Paradise to the martyrs who fell in Karbala on October 10, 680, which corresponds to the Islamic date of Muharram 10, 61, and the punishment that their enemies will receive on the Day of Resurrection. Elements of Christian iconography are present, and there is an angel blowing a trumpet to represent the blowing of images on the final day of judgment, where the envoys go to heaven, and the two angels who attend the scene of the weighing of deeds for the souls, and they are the chosen ones awaiting their entry into heaven, and the blood bears witness to those who already enjoy the bliss of paradise, and finally those with different principles and the traitors who were condemned and stand facing the land of resurrection. There are also new elements: the Prophet of Islam now exists and bears witness as an important figure, and the Messiah and Lord of the Worlds, and this is part of prior prophecy.
