Notes A shallow round balance scale belonging to a group of scales. It is decorated from the inside with six rosettes with six petals arranged directly below the rim in a regular manner at equal distances. Below it is a band containing three pointed ornaments, within which is a composite emblem that includes the symbol of a handkerchief, a pen case, and a cup on a ground with abstract scroll decoration. The ornaments alternate with three elongated frames containing inscriptions in Thuluth script. They are arranged on a ground of abstract scroll decoration with palm fronds and leafy elements within them. The inscriptions give honorific titles to an unknown ruler. The roundels and frames are connected to each other by roundels with simple borders, filled with six-petaled florets. There are frames in the shape of palm fronds with pointed ends, decorated with heraldic ornaments at the top and bottom, and between the latter appear rosettes with six petals placed at equal distances. The center of the cuff is decorated with an interlocking floral pattern with a six-pointed star in the middle, created from inverted trefoils. The remaining spaces within the interlocking motif are filled with single trefoils and scroll decorations.
