Notes Made entirely of light green nephrite, this jug is a diplomatic gift from the beginning of the seventeenth century from the Persian embassy to the court of Rudolf II of Habsburg in order to propose a military-political alliance against the Ottoman Emperor during what is known as the Long Turkish War. The list of the collection of Emperor Matthias I, compiled in 1619 AD, also mentions the presence of a cover that no longer exists now.
