Notes This cloth shows bands with variable patterns that include interlaced layout patterns. Here the texts convey wishes for happiness, good fortune and prosperity. The color intensity of the brightly colored piece with the contrasting colors of red, green and gold characterizes the fabrics produced during the era of the Nasiriyah state and the following periods in Spain and North Africa. Its appearance is in sharp contrast to fabrics produced in earlier periods, which display a lighter, more subtle color combination of mint green and light blue colors and a greater use of metal-wrapped threads.
