Notes Metallic luster pottery enjoyed great success during the Lower Mesozoic Period; He was highly favored by the more refined European courts; We often find royal or supervisory emblems on it, especially Italian emblems such as the emblems of the Tedaldi and Nasi families. The art of Gothic painting demonstrates the success of this pottery and the ingenuity and elegance in its use of colours. The methods of making and decorating this type of pottery were complex, as the pieces were subjected to different firing processes in order to obtain various colours. This dish was made using a wheel; The surface is covered with white and cream tin enamel; The sides are concave, and the wing is slightly inclined. The obverse presents gilt and dark blue decoration; The gilded central shield, drawn within a blue serrated vein, also depicts an eagle with outstretched wings. It has been restored on other pieces, and appears to belong to the Despokhul family. The shield is surrounded by a small border with veins, spirals and small fern leaves. Towards the edge, a wide band appears, decorated with gilded pine nuts, alternating with huge flowers painted in a sharp blue colour. In other spaces, we notice a tawarriq decoration; On the back, another eagle is drawn in the same position, covering the entire surface, and fern leaves in the empty spaces. In addition to the benefit that these heraldic shields provide in telling us about the taste of the elite in society, they also allow for dating of the objects, as they provide family historical information.
