| Notes |
The hemispherical bowl has a cavity with a hexagonal honeycomb surface and a rivet in the middle indicating where a disc is attached to it. The lower end is engraved with the elongated bisected leaves that are found in the 15th-century gilding of Iznik vessels. One of the cells is stamped with the Tughra of Beyazid II, the first monogram (initials) of the Sultan, which serves as a watch stamp to ensure the purity of the silver. |
