The End of Questions and Security in Learning Equestrian Works is a brief reference to military arts written by Ibn Issa Ibn Ismail al-Hanafi al-Aqsarai (died 1348 in Damascus), who dedicated this work to the Mamluk Viceroy Ala al-Din al-Asnabay al-Abu Bakri. It became the most popular book of the Mamluk era on horsemanship, and many illustrated copies were made for Mamluk masters in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, and the current copy is the oldest known copy. The book was divided into twelve chapters or lessons on horsemanship and war. The manuscript's nineteen illustrations depict the use of various weapons such as the bow, spear, sword and arrow and many military tactics including the formation of battle lines in battle.
