Notes This long, hexagonal copper table has a hexagonal upper body and a base shaped like hexagonal columns. The table is inlaid with inscription panels containing engraved or perforated floral patterns, and the sides are made up of many panels placed within a frame. This stand may have originally been used to hold a Qur’an while reading. For protection, the Qur’an can be placed inside the holder by opening small doors and placing the book inside it.
