Notes Mian Mir belonged to the Qadiriyya, a sect of Sufism, and spent most of his life in Lahore. He was known for his religious tolerance and was respected by Muslims and Sikhs. Amirdara Shehu was his main follower and is said to have paid tribute to Mian Mir at his burial. He is shown here praying in the Rawdah in the Prophet’s Mosque in front of Fatima Park, where the Rawdah and the green dome over the Prophet’s tomb are in the background.
