Notes The pear-shaped body of the jug rests on a circular base and has a snail-shaped handle whose upper part is attached to the lid surmounted by a pine cone. The large floral decoration on the belly and the delicate scrollwork on the neck fit perfectly with the shape. Dealing with decorative designs for certain details related to the form indicates Western influence in design, which indicates the emergence of what is known as Turkish Baroque.
