Notes The piece is a mold in the shape of a ram made from equal parts of the body and a small piece that forms the head of the ram. There are four prominent edges that act as joints that appear on the back and on the upper part of the head, and there are also two under the ram’s legs. As for the ram's horns, they are clearly visible behind his ears. It seems that this mold was used specifically to make a special type of bread or cake for children. There is another mold in the shape of an elephant that was found in the same place. The ram is one of the beloved animals of Muslims, and it was mentioned several times in the Holy Qur’an. The main story that mentions the ram came in Surat Al-Saffat (No. 37) in verses 102-107. The verses mention our master Abraham, who ransomed his son Ishmael with a ram. Muslims also sacrifice rams, in addition to other animals such as camels, cows, and sheep, on Eid al-Adha. The ram also appears on the mosaic floors of Byzantine churches in Jordan. Also, most of the iron industries in the early Islamic period were made in the shapes of various animals.
