Notes
Two wooden columns, each of which takes the shape of a square prismatic, two of its sides decorated with deep engraving. The two inscribed sides of each column are divided into a series of rectangular panels containing inscribed text in Kovimurq script. The text is in sixteen lines, each side containing eight lines. The column bearing the storage number 145 carries a Qur’anic text consisting of verses 96-98 of Surat Maryam (No. 19). Verses begin on the first side of the column and are read downward, then completed on the other side. The column with storage number 146 contains a Qur’anic text, namely verse 285 of Surat Al-Baqarah (No. 2). Unlike the first column, after the lines on both sides end, they resume starting from the second panel on the first side, and so on down to the lower panels. Although we do not know from which building these two columns came or for what purpose they were used, the Qur’anic verses found inscribed on them make it possible to assume that these two columns were architectural elements of a religious building.
