Notes The art room at Ambras contains a number of wooden Ottoman spoons. One such spoon is recorded in the Art Room in Munich from 1596 AD, which means that the one in Ambras also dates back to the sixteenth century, although it is only mentioned in a later inventory. The spoons feature floral shapes such as tulips, irises, and eyeliner, painted in gold. Its back and part of its fist are decorated with wavy bands.
