Notes
The bowl has a wide center painted in blue under the glass, with a three-part rounded font drawn in the center of a stemmed cup. This is the ruling emblem of the Mamluk office of cup-bearer or cup-bearer. The inscriptions are not usually found on vessels painted under glass, but are mostly found on metalwork and porcelain vessels of the sgraffito type from the end of the thirteenth century onwards.
