Notes This glazed, molded bowl of glazed earthenware features large Kufic calligraphy, as well as rabbits, birds, and a huge crested sphinx. The decoration is highlighted by cobalt blue lines inside the dish and around the outer edge. The use of this delicate material was intended to emulate Chinese porcelain. The bowl may resemble a contemporary metal bowl in shape.
