Notes
Al-Hasa Castle is one of the important stations on the Hajj-Shami road. In addition to the castle, the site includes a square pond with a side length of 23 m, a bridge built across Wadi Al-Hasa, and part of a paved road. The castle, which takes the form of a square with a side length of 24 m, was built using stone blocks of lime and basalt, and the maximum height of the remaining part of the building is 10 m. Narrow openings penetrate the surrounding walls at two different levels, while lattices measuring 2.50 A building was built in this courtyard over a well 20 meters deep. Nine rooms are arranged around the courtyard on the ground floor, four of which are iwans with slightly pointed arches. Other rooms are roofed with barrel vaults. The entrance leading to the room on the southern side is preceded by two sets of stone stairs leading to the upper floor, most of which have collapsed except for some rooms located on the southern side that are still standing and roofed with barrel vaults. It seems that the room in the middle of this side was a mosque.
