Notes
The Kufi inscription – the Muslim’s testimony of faith and glorification of Al-Hasan Ibn Ahmad, who was necessarily the owner of the amulet box – with floral elements being the only decoration of the piece. The square box has three loops from which it is hung. There is a short side that is removed, so that the ruqyah or verse from the Qur’an has been set aside.
