Notes This copy of Ferdowsi's famous Shahnameh - which may have come from Shiraz - includes 73 drawings, narrating the glorious history of the Persian kings. This version can be dated to the fifteenth century, as the introduction mentions Baysingor, one of the Timurid princes. The date 790 AH (1387 AD) may have been given to increase the age of the manuscript.
