While the figures on bowls bearing figures painted in bright paint in Abbasid Iraq were of a particular style, a number of completely naturalistic depictions of court figures, dancers, wrestlers, etc. are known from Fatimid Egypt. There are many figurative elements of figures in Fatimid art which are something that can perhaps be seen in the context of the Coptic Christian tradition of the region.
