Notes During the last third of the sixteenth century, a type of floral decoration appeared in Iznik ceramics known as “bouquets with curved flowers.” Blue tulips, red carnations and blue blooming flowers were sprinkled in a bird's nest shape in a symmetrical arrangement around the plate. The graphic quality of the splash of blooming flowers is impressive against the white background. The specially styled waveforms in the border model almost lose their touch of Chinese origin.
