| Notes | The tombstone shows a shallow recess surmounted by a stalactite-shaped design. Inside there are worn inscriptions indicating the name of the deceased person, which is Mahmoud bin Muhammad. The upper part of the tablet contains verse 26 of Surat Al-Rahman from the Holy Qur’an. A date appears to the left of the gap: “In [the month] Muharram in the year 809 AH.” |
