Notes This stone tablet is one of the components of Al-Hujra Mosque, which documents the history of its construction. It has circular shapes on one side, and the following text is engraved on the other side: “This blessed mosque, which is Al-Hujra Mosque, was built from the eyes of Al-Rustaq on the day of the year 1770 years and a thousand years in the era of the just Sadat, the imams of the Muslims from the Ya’aruba. May God grant victory to them and forgive their deaths, and the first of the just ones was the imam of the Muslims, Nasser bin Murshid bin Malik bin Abi Al-Arab. Al-Ya'arbi - may God forgive him - was a meeting of the ascetic Muslim scholars who believed him to be their Imam, and for all Muslims, at the end of the month of Safar in the year thirty-three years and a thousand years, and he performed justice among them, and he strove and shummar until God took him to His mercy in the morning of Friday for ten nights of the month of Rabi' Al-Akhir, the year fifty-nine years and a thousand years, and they were in tune with him and were satisfied with him. On this morning, there was a meeting of the rightly-guided Muslim scholars who, in his opinion, were upright in the religion, people of righteousness in religion. During his time and Egypt, he would replace him as their Imam before he was buried. They agreed with the consensus of their opinions and the perfection of their minds, the justness, the contentment, the trustworthiness of the Sultan bin Saif bin Malik bin Abi Al-Arab Al-Yarubi, so they entered into a contract with him and installed him as their imam to spite their enemy and defend their harem. He led them in a prophetic way, and his subjects admired him with desire and awe, and his affairs were successful and feared by those who heard his mention on land and sea, O God. Confirm it in uprightness in religion, and have mercy on the weak and the needy, and forgive us and all Muslims. You are capable of all things. It was written by the poor one for God, Khamis bin Ali bin Nasser bin Omar bin Abdullah bin Abi Ramah in his hand. With the two testimonies: (There is no god but God and Muhammad is the Messenger of God). The roof of the mosque was made of solid juniper wood, carried on marble columns facing the mihrab, covered with beautiful decorations, miniatures, geometric formations, and extremely beautiful and exquisite calligraphy. On the walls of the mosque there are documents of the dates of some deaths and some historical events.
